  • Dip Body Therapies 1997
  • Post graduate Certificate in Health Science (Sports Medicine) 2005
  • Dry needling
  • Myofascial vacuum cupping
  • Reflexology

I am a strong believer in using regular massage to relieve stress, improve posture, prevent sports injuries and to achieve optimal levels of wellbeing.

My main interest lies in chronic and acute pain management, deep relaxation, postural awareness, sports maintenance massage, sports and repetitive strain injury by using a variety of techniques including swedish massage, trigger point release, dry needling, myofascial cupping, reflexology, mobilisation and stretching.

I have had extensive experience with sports teams and events, and was a team support provider for the NZ Academy of Sport North Island for 8 years. I travelled to Japan with the NZ Cross Country team in 2006, Hawaii for the 2008 Ironman Champs, was exclusive massage therapist to America True, Americas Cup Syndicate 1999/2000, and have worked with many individual athletes from elite to recreational.

I have a passion for many sports, was up until recently a competitive Ballroom dancer. At the moment I am enjoying yoga, pilates and a bit of walking/running and learning Sign Language.

"I have visited Lisa Buchan for a few years now. It's hard to find a good massage person that is firm and holistic. Lisa seems to always iron out the lumps and bumps leaving my body rejuvenated. Balance is always professional and friendly. I have recommended many of my friends to Lisa and everyone that has been has always re booked and been very happy with the results." Di

Lisa is available Monday to Friday.

  • Dip Body Therapies 2001
  • Dry needling

My interests lie in assisting people with specific myofascial pain and trigger points, as well as pregnant women and new mums, sport maintenance massage and of course general wellness massage.

I am passionate about utilsing natural health in the modern world and believe the beauty of massage lies within being able to treat specific issues and relax the body at the same time.
I also utilise dry needling to achieve results.

I am also experienced in event massage, with three years at Ironman, Vodafone Xair and three years contracted specifically to the Australasian PGA Golf Tour, NZ Open.

I am a mum of a very active toddler and am also studying part-time for a Bachelor of Natural Medicine, and when time allows a keen golfer.

"I first began seeing Jane for massages about 6 years ago. I have continued on a relatively regular basis as she is awesome! Whether I go in for general stress relief or with a specific issue (not unusual with my job) she always finds the problematic muscles and is able to relax them. She is really specific with her massage and has great technique. I'm a Chiropractor, and I have referred many clients to Jane over the years as I'm really confident they'll get great results." Michelle, Kingsland Chiropractic

Jane is available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Jun Hong

junior massage therapist

  • Dip Sports & Massage Therapy 2016
  • Dip Therapeutic Massage 2016
  • Cert Relaxation Massage 2015
  • Bsc Sport & Exercise Science 2014

I hold a firm belief that massage is a powerful tool for healing and revitalizing both body and mind. The types of massage therapy that I am specialized in are Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Myofascial Release (MFR), Trigger Point Therapy, Therapeutic, Sports, Deep-Tissue and Relaxation Massage.

My main interest lies in helping people suffering from different types of pain. I love to work with people that are dealing with pain whether you are suffering from chronic pain (e.g. frozen shoulder, rotator cuff issues, lower back pain), sports injuries (e.g. patellofemoral pain syndrome, ITB syndrome, shin splints) or work-related injuries (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, tension headaches). I approach holistically to develop personalized treatment plans that cater to your specific needs and goals and therefore, to provide you the opportunity to decrease the pain problems.

My work is often described as “deep therapeutic pressure with a gentle approach to the body”. I consult clients using a range of assessment techniques to identify origin of muscle imbalances including length and strength and postural misalignments.

I am experienced providing massage services at a number of sporting events and these include: World Masters Games 2017, North Harbour Rugby, North Harbour Women’s Rugby, Waitakere United FC, CrossFit, Relay for Life and Coatesville Half Marathon.

I also am an avid footballer which I have a keen sporting background, where in 2010 I played 3rd division professional league in Korea (K3 League) and Auckland City FC Youth in 2011.

"As a triathlete and multi-sporter I've had a lot of massages...  I recently had a massage with Jun in preparation for Challenge Wanaka and I was so impressed.  Having done lots of kms in training my legs were desperately needing some TLC!  Before Jun started his massage, he discussed where I was at with my training and I mentioned my patellar pain (old injury).  He took the time to confirm the issue was my patellar tendon (tight quads!).  He clearly explained what he'd work on and also his pressure scale.  His massage technique is amazing and was exactly what I needed.  He also respected my modesty and made me feel very comfortable.  I highly recommend Jun - I know I'll be back for sure!! " Leticia

Jun is available Monday to Thursday.
